“We were introduced to the Herbalife products by
accident.” They went to see Tony’s close friend David Bevan to
invite him to their wedding. David told them about Herbalife
and its weight management programme. He explained how the
products could help them lose a few kilos for their wedding.
They could not believe their results. Tony lost weight in his
first week and went on to reach his weight management goal
using the products, resulting in him having a great feeling of
energy. Gerry also lost weight and felt great! “Our respective
careers kept us apart...” Tony, originally an electrician from
Port Talbot, was working for a water company in South East
England and Gerry was a Management Accountant working in
Sussex. Tony’s job was extreme to say the least. Gerry
recalls, “Our respective careers kept us apart most of the
week and our lifestyle was focused on a mundane 8am-6pm daily
existence, with Tony working away five days a week. Our
sponsors, David Bevan and Jane Clark advised Tony that he
should go along to a Success Training Seminar to see the
Herbalife Business Opportunity for himself.” “In our second
month we covered our mortgage payment.” “We decided to start
the Herbalife opportunity and strive to attain Supervisor
level as soon as we could. In our second month in the business
we had made a profit of just over £500 working part-time. We
both thought that this was incredible as it covered our
mortgage payment for that month!” Tony left his job to work
the Herbalife business fulltime, with Gerry joining him a few
months later. Tony recalls, “The decision to go full-time with
Herbalife was made easy when David and Jane called me. They
told me that if I was serious about the business opportunity,
I needed to qualify for the Amsterdam Extravaganza (1997).
This training was a massive catalyst for me; to see the
President’s Team and Chairman’s Club train us was
inspirational. The highlight was meeting Mark Hughes, a moment
I will treasure forever.” “We attended all of the training...
which was very important to us in the early days of our
business. In our second month full-time we qualified for World
Team, taking our income past £1000 per month.” Gerry recalls,
“I had lost all the excess weight that I had gained through
becoming pregnant, in a relatively short period of time. This
belief in the products and the results they can give you,
drove us to build a large solid retail base.” We moved to
South Wales, leaving our two-bedroom flat in Worthing and
moved into a four-bedroom house in The Vale of Glamorgan.”
Tony recalls, “This was one of our big goals that we achieved
– we had an office each to build our business. Our family also
expanded in the July, when Gerry had our second child.
We totally enjoy working from home, with our Herbalife
business going out of control. We qualified for all of the
Herbalife promotions and training. This definitely helped us
progress up the marketing plan.” “We qualified Millionaire
Team in Spring 2001.” “This took our income to another level.
It was very emotional for us to go back to Amsterdam and ‘be
pinned’ on stage, some four years after Tony’s first European
meeting in the same arena. Herbalife has given us the
opportunity to be trained by some of the top Distributors in
the world. All we kept doing was applying what we were taught
at the training meetings into our business. The more teachable
you are, the faster your opportunity grows.
Unlike our previous jobs, Herbalife have put on some
great vacations for its Distributors. We have travelled all
over the world, from Los Angeles, Hawaii, Bahamas, Barbados
and most of Europe.” “We have just qualified for President’s
Team.” “We qualified in March 2002. Our monthly income is now
more than we could have ever imagined – UNBELIEVABLE! Tony has
just completed another goal in purchasing his favourite car, a
Jeep Grand Cherokee!
We have
moved to a fabulous five bedroom, eight acre farmhouse in the
Vale of Glamorgan with stunning views over the Bristol Channel
to Devon and Somerset. It has a purpose built office, 70 sq m,
to work from and a superb gymnasium. ”Gerry says “Herbalife
has enabled us to completely change our lifestyle to one that
we could have only dreamt of before.” One of Tony’s personal
goals was to take his father and father-in-law to follow the
British Lion’s Rugby Team in Australia in 2001. Tony recalls,
“This goal was four years in the making. I was totally focused
on making this happen. Only through this opportunity could I
present my father with tickets and tell him that he was going
on his dream holiday! That was one of the best days of my
life, thank you Herbalife! We have just come back from our
first President’s Team excursion in Palm Springs. It was great
to meet our new CEO Michael O Johnson and the rest of the
leadership of Herbalife. We are more excited now about the
Herbalife business opportunity than we have ever been before.
We feel that we are only just getting started. The growth in
Europe will be huge over the next few years for Herbalife and
we are proud to be part of such a dynamic company.”
