In May 2001, I was involved in the corporate cutthroat
world of IT & Communications. Spending most of the waking
hours either in my car, sat in meetings or sat in front of my
laptop. The money was OK but the life was far from what I
really wanted. Claire was the office manager for a family
owned business, which held a lot of responsibility for not the
greatest of rewards.
We needed to find something, which could give us a
chance and allow us a change in direction. After visiting
several sites on the Internet, I got a call from someone whose
site I had visited. He was a Welshman and his name was David
Bevan. Well, we had a good twenty-minute conversation and I
must admit he made a few statements, which were bang on target
and got me thinking about our life. He asked if I would like
to see a video, which would tell me a little bit more about
the opportunity. The video arrived a day or so later and I
watched it straight away. “Here we go another one of those,….
Ferrari driving up to a nice house, the only one making any
money is this guy,” I said to myself. But as I began to watch
and listen closely to the information, my gut feeling started
to tell me that there might just be something in this! Claire
watched it and said it looks like a con!
I
then had another conversation with David and began to feel
more comfortable with the opportunity. He then invited us down
to his house to see it for real and to get a better
understanding. We arrived at David and Jane's house and were
immediately made to feel very at ease by our new friend. He
was very hospitable and explained everything about the
business. He told us where both he and Jane had come from and
some of the experiences they had been through. He explained
where they and the business were going and the reasons to back
this up. He then showed us around their beautiful home and
garden, we looked at the cars, motorbikes, jet skis etc and we
realised this was for real! As soon as we got into the car to
go home we both knew this was what we had been looking for. We
had finally found a business and two incredible Mentor's who
would help us change our life!
We got straight on the products, I lost two stone, and
Claire lost one and a half stone. We also got back our zest
for life and re-gained our energy, which had disappeared some
time ago. In the beginning it took us a while to find our
feet, nothing like it is for new people today. With the
incredible tools and systems that have been developed to make
life easier.
Today I work the business full time from our brand new
four bedroomed home, have a new Mercedes on the drive and
treated myself to my favourite motorbike a Yamaha R6. I have
more time to do what I always wanted. Claire will be leaving
her job in the New Year and will be joining me to build the
business from home. In short our lives have changed
dramatically since May 2001. But to be honest, we really
haven't even got started yet!
Our goals are now bigger houses in acres of land, homes
abroad, faster cars, and even faster motorbikes, world travel,
and the usual material things etc. But our biggest goal is
enjoying watching and helping other people help themselves and
create the life that everyone deserves to have. It's just
unfortunate that not everyone will see this business for what
it can do for them and will only look for the negatives, and
boy will they miss out, by simply choosing not to embrace the
chance.
There are
no negatives in this business, just trust the company, love
the products, trust and love your sponsor, grow your
personality, talk to people, encourage others and we promise
you will have a life of fulfilment, balance and happiness.
